Lesson Information
Paul offers drum and percussion lessons online through Zoom and in person at home in the Austin/Round Rock area. Whether in person or online, he aims to give you the tools you to learn on your instrument while playing the music you enjoy. Each person learns differently, so your content and lesson plans are customized to fit your needs.
Lesson plans are fully flexible and will vary with student's topic interest, experience, or goals, but may include (not limited to):

Beginner lessons: learning basic technique, introducing new music, learn about the role of drums in music

Intermediate lessons: develop further technique, prepare for auditions or performance opportunities, find your voice on drums

Advanced lessons: hybrid technique, transcription of drum performances and solos, developing pocket and feel, and developing vocabulary

Professional development: advanced music theory development including tonal or rhythmic theory, analysis of drum solo transcriptions, becoming a well-rounded performer or educator
Online lessons are perfect for students who will benefit from one-on-one instruction and a customized approach from an instructor with regular feedback. Weekly emails are sent with lesson overviews, handouts and sheet music, videos recorded in class (see About the Studio for more information on video/camera/audio setup), or other pertinent information for your convenience. This means you have all the information you need to work with in one place.
Lesson Packages
Lesson packages are customizable to suit your needs. Each option offers the same education, access to handouts and lesson videos, and feedback from Paul. Choose a package that works best for you, or contact Paul directly to find a plan that suits your musical goals. Custom plans available for other lesson durations, frequency of lessons, and discounts offered for bulk advance payment.
