Examples of Paul's Playing
Percussion Section
"Kill Me Twice" was recorded with several percussion layers stacked on top of each other, beginning at :35. The artist, Cari Q, had a full band version which we recorded that same day, but wanted to experiment with new textures for a stripped down acoustic version of the song. Paul multi-tracked takes of a woodblock, pandeiro, dhol, various shakers, clapping, and other techniques that can only be described as "hamboning," or slapping yourself.

Ambient & Smooth
Scott Zuniga recorded this cover album with experimentation and eclecticism in mind. For "Reservoir," Paul recorded resonant drums (slowly building from 1:00 throughout the song) which were then given tons of reverb and ambience to give a washy backdrop behind strings and Scott's voice.
